Moonbow are definitely a "super group" consisting of members from differing rock music backgrounds. With their first album entitled, "The End Of Time", Moonbow treat us to a big dose of heavy bourbon soaked stoner rock that can only come from the state of Kentucky!

Fastnbulbous Laidback Kentucky-based supergroup of sorts with members of Hank 3, Afghan Whigs, Hermano and Valley Of The Sun. Their debut The End Of Time is fairly unadorned but well written hard rock with touches of stoner rock. Kyuss/Vista Chino’s John Garcia even wrote and sang on “Take It For Granted.”

Maxime Superb Stoner Rock. The production is perfect, good heavy sound, and the vocals are very nice. Favorite track: Fire Bath.

Hank 3 brought my attention to Moonbow quite some time ago (he played on one of their songs). Finding Moonbow here was unexpected, but very welcome. After that iv'e been a fan. Been taking my sweet time getting this, but it has been in my queue. I just had a first listen-through and it's as good as stoner rock/metal can get. I still need some more time to listen to it, but it has been a damn good start. :D Anders M. Nordli
